Whynotbuyme seeks to provide pre-owned costume and vintage jewellery at sensible affordable prices with a flat rate delivery charge of £4 no matter how many items are in the order. 

We try were possible to give a realistic appraisal of the condition of items but as this is highly subjective we will tend to use satisfactory as a cover all and only use good or very good for vintage pieces in good condition for their age.

Where possible we will identify any "designer" pieces and give a brief outline of their background.  Gavilane, Sphinx and Jasmin already feature.

The GAVILANE brand is a French luxury brand founded in 1987 by Gavilane ABADIE and Jean-Philippe MOLLEREAU with them being reknowned for their glas jewellery amongst others.

Couture Jewellry is the main focus of the brand which currently has two boutiques in Paris, following a 15-year presence in Parisian and foreign department stores in collaboration with the Dior, YSL and Christian Lacroix brands, (now sold!)

Sphinx jewellery is a collectable vintage British UK Jewellery brand. The company was started in the late 1940′s by S Root and was based in Chiswick, London. They were known for their well made, statement costume jewellery pieces , producing a wide spectrum of styles and designs.

Jasmin is a  brand  well-known for their high-quality jewellery.

Pierre Bex a French company producing high quality enamelled works from 1969 to 1980, much sought after due to the craftsmanship. Very unusual to find many stamped/signed as the majority were unsigned and sold on branded paper cards.
